    Seed Starts and Supplies Q/A

Andy, are you planning on starting some seeds in the next few weeks?  Assuming they come in the mail.  Will you be purchasing anything to do that?  In the next few weeks, I am probably going to just get some of those disks that expand when they get wet and a covered seed starter of some sort.  I am also going to take the time in the next few weeks to go through the garage -- first I need to check and see if my tetanus shot is up to date :o| -- and start getting my supplies and planters, etc. in one general location.

Andy, I also found some 4 x 4 x 8 (long and square) wood on the side of our house that we used for a project once.  There's enough for me to make one raised square bed but unfortunately, it is pre treated redwood.  Is there ANY way I can use that without the risk of getting those crappy chemicals in the soil/food?  Like, assembling the wood into a bed and then maybe wrapping the wood on the inside and bottom with plastic, which I also already have?  If I bring the plastic over the top, I also have a few 2 x 4s that I can nail on top to use as a plastic keeper downer.  I don't know.

Beth, I do not have a rototiller but I'll keep my eyes/ears aware.  My dad might have one.
