Just where do your seeds come from?

    http://www.veggiegardeninfo.com/2009/02/avoiding-seeds-from-monsanto.html

    Worth visiting.

That said, at the rate I'm going I may not get anything ordered (I do have catalogs from "safe" suppliers) and end up buying my stuff at Lowe's, so who am I to talk ;)

Thanks for the link, Teena.  I certainly prefer to avoid Monsanto, and to favor heirloom seeds over hybrids.

There's a detailed thread at Freedom Gardens about this.  See also Seed Saver Exchange, a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and sharing heirloom seeds. In the interest of community building and seed sharing, I'm planning to switch my seed order from Gurney's and Cooks Garden to Seed Saver Exchange, and possibly joining as a member.

I also ordered a copy of Seed to Seed: Seed Saving and Growing Techniques for Vegetable Gardeners for reference.
