About Beth

Although trained in theology, poetry is the closest thing to prayer that I can verbalize these days. As Mary Oliver writes in 'The Journey':

"...a new voice

which you slowly recognized as your own,

that kept you company

as you strode deeper and deeper

into the world,

determined to do

the only thing you could do--

determined to save

the only life that you could save."

...this blog is dedicated to saving the only life I can save--my own.  And in that burning, hopefully the heat and light as the by-products will be of use to warm another's cold hands or light another's next step on their own journey.
