POEM OF THE MONTH ~ February 2011
Here’s to seeing differently! What if you look into your own heart, hear a new song sung in a bold voice, soak in your juicy imagination, and from that mysterious place within, express your tender, true, undomesticated dream. Hey, if this is crazy, sign me up! May crazy wisdom and loving-kindness prevail! –Krayna
FOUND POEM
Here’s to the crazy ones.
The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers.
The round pegs in the square holes.
The ones who see things differently.
They’re not fond of rules.
And they have no respect for the status quo.
You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them,
disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them.
About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them.
Because they change things.
They invent. They imagine.
They heal. They explore. They create. They inspire.
They push the human race forward.
Maybe they have to be crazy.
How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art?
Or sit in silence and hear a song that’s never been written?
Or gaze at a red planet and see a laboratory on wheels?
While some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.
Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world,
are the ones who do.

Krayna–
I aspire to resemble being that crazy…
Thanks for this poem…this month or any other!
Hi Beth.
Amazing poem…wish I had the crazies to produce music, art, imagination greater than self. However, one of my favorite stars is this one. Went to Indiana and kissed his grave stone with all of the other “lipstick” lips. Maybe as I think of my past and the changes I have made on people by encouraging them to look at lemonade rather than lemons I am creating change. Especially my grandchildren!
Also liked the story about your pianist..I just read a bood “House Rules” Jodi Picoult, about a young boy with asperger’s syndrome who had amazing gifts, one of them was he could not lie. How wonderful if we all could do that. Good read!!
Think of you and miss your happy face.
Lots of Love Laura
