Three haiku submissions for one single impression prompt for December 28: stardust

These 17-syllable haiku are embedded with a perspective on the stuff of our being—-stardust. The three stand-alone haiku also are a cyclical journey. Here are ontology, cosmology and ontogeny in that order.

stardust aggregates

to that dust we will return

stars as seduction

sprinkled like new snow

across restless universes

stardust congeals us

contract and expand

stardust swirls the leftovers

that become next meal

I’ll be having one of those parties soon, before the spring equinox…

Thanks to Lirone over at Words that Sing for this week’s prompt. One Single Impression is a community of poets writing and sharing haiku and other poetic forms. Each week we offer to our muses a new prompt. Come play with us!
