Common Raven by amkhosla

bereft of progeny

the plum sapling

turns embarrassed colors

lonely smallish plum

is snatched and eaten, pit-in

by the shiny mouthy anxious raven

‘winter’s coming’

raven dances and chants

gifting a prophesy

the four of them are in cahoots

the tree, the plum and the pit suspend their breath

where will raven deposit that pit?

This is this week’s submission for One Single Impression (prompt # 30): Autumn
