This is my 4th posting in the ‘Hi Honey I’m Home’ series for the ‘Where’s Home?’ contest here on the VTH.
Just found a wonderful site–because Kudzu Fire commented on On a wing and the Whatever Prayer! The site is “Written on the Wind”. Thanks, “Kudzu Fire” for stopping by–and thanks for bringing your poetry out into the world of words.
I pray to be this Stone Shaman when I grow into my skin…this is my once and future home.
From Written on the Wind…

Stone Shaman

He had the virtue of stones

No needs, no urges, no desires

He grew hot in summer and cold in winter

The shaman of stones

Stoic divinity

He had the virtue of storms

Violent beyond all comprehension

But people will say

Well that’s just his way

A juxtaposition of intangibles

And yet…and yet…

This beautiful poem reminds me of another, untitled poem by Eunice Tietjens
